Dave Henderson started writing computer programs at a young age, sparking a lifelong passion for using technology to solve complex challenges. Today, Dave serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), collaborating with CGI’s operational leadership team to bring forward technology innovation and best practices from across the company to help clients achieve transformational business results. In this role, Dave is a member of CGI’s Global Operations Management Committee, which oversees the implementation of the company’s enterprise-wide strategy.
Through the CTO office, Dave and his team act as an innovation hub for the company, engaging CGI’s global community of technology experts to curate, develop, and share tangible, vetted assets and offerings through a trusted library of reusable, high-impact solutions. His team also works with subject matter experts within CGI’s innovation and global delivery centers, centers of expertise, and IP business solutions teams to engineer prototypes that help clients and the company stay ahead of trends and achieve ROI on their digital investments.
From his early days as a software developer to later leading large-scale business operations, Dave has built deep expertise in guiding teams and clients toward the practical and responsible use of technologies that drive holistic business outcomes.
Previously, he was President of Intelligent Solutions and Innovation, expanding CGI’s portfolio of IP-based offerings. He also served as President of U.S. Commercial and State Government Operations, driving growth across industries, including financial services, energy, retail, manufacturing, health, communications, and government. Earlier, he led CGI’s U.S. Central-South business unit—one of the company’s largest and fastest growing—after joining CGI in 2006 to lead the Dallas market.
A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Sciences. In 2020, he received a CGI Builders Award for his contribution to the growth and success of the company.
