Lucille Bonenfant joined CGI in 2013 as legal director and business partner for the Western & Southern Europe Strategic Business Unit. In this role, she led legal strategy for high-value, cross-industry client engagements and oversaw internal legal matters including global procurement and insurance. Her work often spanned international teams and complex, multi-jurisdictional contracts, positioning her as a trusted legal advisor across the organization.
In May 2021, Lucille was appointed Chief Privacy Officer, where she leads CGI’s global data protection strategy. She is responsible for the development and enforcement of enterprise-wide privacy policies and the continuous alignment of CGI’s operations with evolving data protection frameworks worldwide.
Expanding her leadership portfolio as of June 2025, Lucille also assumes responsibility for CGI’s Legal Compliance Program. In this capacity, she drives the integration of compliance into the business, transforming complex legal and regulatory requirements into pragmatic, scalable, and business-oriented practices that enable CGI to operate with integrity and a competitive edge.
Recognized as a prominent legal executive, Lucille combines a deep expertise in business, contract, and data protection law with a strong track record in the technology sector. She is known for setting and upholding rigorous privacy, ethical, and compliance standards in line with CGI’s values. She leads a global team of privacy professionals, records management specialists, and legal compliance experts who safeguard CGI’s interests, reputation, and stakeholders through the implementation of holistic, globally aligned data protection and compliance practices at every level of the organization.
Lucille holds a master’s degree in Business and Tax Law from the University of Paris II – Panthéon-Assas, and a postgraduate degree in Business Law and Management from NEOMA Business School.
